Above: The way we were. Late Victorian Babbacombe Beach from
a tinted photographic postcard. Despite the carnage at The
Glen in 1884 this picturesque setting still retained much of
it's quaintness as a working fishing community. Today it's
different story. The local authority own the land with
concrete and 1960's buildings, car park and public toilets
dominate the once attractive quintessential Devonshire
scene. 19th century attractiveness - modern day development.
